I noticed some swelling in my armpit before Christmas which followed with a pea sized lump. After visiting the docs on Thursday I was referred for further examination. Thankfully due to private healthcare I was seen this evening. I was told that the lump is an angry lymph node (which seems to have grown in size since Christmas) and was given a mammogram. The doc wants me to come back for biopsy and ultrasound on Friday (booked in before any images were reviewed), she wasn't keen on these procedures taking place next week due to time passing. Now I'm panicking! Not at the fact that I could have cancer (although that is my biggest fear) but that it could be advanced. I have pain around the bones close to that breast which is terrifying me. I have two kids and the thoughts going round my head are awful. Please tell me I'm not alone :(
