Hi, i am a 17 year old male and i am absolutely terrified i have oesophageal cancer, i do smoke. This is because on the 1st of Jan at around 9pm i began experiencing a tightness on my chest accompanied by burning. i went to AandE the next day and was diagnosed with tonsillitis due to a swollen tonsil and the feeling on the chest was put down to a potential spread of the tonsillitis. i have since been to my GP and was diagnosed with GERD and she has since booked me an endoscopy for a months time and taken my bloods to see if there is a higher count in white blood cells. if so then the endoscopy will be rushed for 2 weeks. I have had the constant feeling of pressure on my chest ever since it started that night with the odd stabbing pain in different areas of my chest accompanied by a burn in my chest. i'm really worried as what i've read says that it's an aggressive cancer so i really feel time is of the essence. if it turns out to be the case i feel cheated by life as i haven't even been given the opportunity to go to university, etc. Can someone give me advice :(
