*scared* My dad has a hard solid lump on neck behind ear..

Hi,

My dad is 55 and in good health. 8 months ago, he had a small lump on his neck that the GP diagnosed as a cyst. It's grown in size (trippled I would say) and it's hard and not moveable. He was sent for blood tests 6 weeks ago and they came back as fine. He's had more bloods taken and waiting for results. Does anyone know what the second blood tests were for? He's been referred to a consultant for a biopsy on Wednesday. I've googled so much and it's all directing to Hodgkin lymphoma. I'm worried sick. Does anyone have any advice or stories that would help me stop worrying! I feel sick all the time and can't bear to lose him.

Many thanks!

  • Hi Maddie and welcome to the forum.

It's good to see that your dad's first set of bloods have come back clear but I know the worry will still be with you until you know more.

I hope your dad's biopsy goes well today and he is able to find out a bit more from the consultant.

Fingers crossed everything will be o.k Maddie.

    Kind regards,
