I'm sorry to hear that your husband is dealing with the possibility that he has cancer. Obviously it's a difficult time for you both at the moment. 
I'm glad that the CT scan is due to happen shortly. Hopefully this will give his Dr's the information needed and they will be able to answer the many questions that I'm sure you both have. If the pain continues or worsens then speak to your husband's GP or give the hospital a call.
