I have had a rotten Xmas - boxing day had to leave the resteraunt and go home due to bad stomach cramps - passed a very large amount of  loose faeces with very painful spasms - then ended up in a and e due to passing blood /mucous. This went on or 24 hours and  was in and out of the pre surgical unit for 2 days - after 2 days my imflamatory markers subsided   the bleeding stopped and I have since hone to the loo as normal - I am awaiting a colonoacopy and have my pre assessment in a weeks time - to say I'm terrified is an understatement - I have an existing neurological illness and am just 2 years out of open brain surgery - I really don't think I could stand much more - the docs couldn't see any piles via rectal examination but wondered if anyone had experienced a one off bleed
