Ultrasound results...still not clear?

a 3cm solid mass was found on my left ovary. She said it won't go away on its own, could be possible endometrioma or a germ cell dermoid cyst but she isn't sure just that it is completely solid and no free fluid...looks like thick blood but again wasn't sure.

I have my appointment in January to see a gynocologist at the hospital. I didn't even think to ask if there was any chance it could be malignent.

I guess im wondering what is the likelihood as its only 3cm on the scan so I'm not too worried but I don't feel comfortable with the idea its completely solid. I have had symptoms for quite a while now with bloated painful stomach that does not go away at all, irregular bleeding, pain in pelvic and abdominal area as well as this constant feeling my bladder is full even after ive been...it never feels comfortable if that makes sense.

  • Hi Kate28x,

Unfortunately no-one here will really be able to advise on this. The best thing is to wait for your appointment where you can discuss everything, although I know the waiting and uncertainty is difficult.

If you'd like to discuss anything with our nurses, you can reach them on 0808 800 4040 - Monday-Friday, 9-5.

Otherwise try to keep your mind off things and to keep busy until your appointment and I hope it's not too much longer to wait,
