Worried

I went to see the gp last week as had been feeling tired.  She ordered blood tests called doctor today and my ca125 levels are high.  I googled it and am now a bit worried as it is apparently an indicator for ovarian cancer.  Could it be high for another reason?

  • Hello Sions
I'm sorry to hear that you've been feeling unwell recently. A raised CA125 level doesn't mean you definitely have cancer, as it can also be caused by less serious things such as endometriosis, fibroids and even pregnancy.

I hope that this offer some reassurance and that you don't have to wait long for any further appointments.

    Best wishes,
