I'm sorry to hear that you've needed some additional tests after your recent x-ray.

We know that waiting for results can be a really worrying time. It can vary quite dramatically how long someone may wait for test results and the length of time waiting doesn't necessarily direccly link to positive or bad news so please don't read too much into things. It is worth bearing in mind that things may be a little delayed due to the time of year as well. 

I really hope that you don't have to wait too long. Do let us know how you get on.

Hey Gills.  Yopu're not alone.

I went to hospital witha what I thought was a pulled muscle in my back and after many tests found two masses in my lung and shadow on the right.  They started the same two week referral and were pretty quick with contacting me to schedule 1) a bronchoscopy and  2) A PET CT scan.

That was 11 days ago and they've done the Biopsy and would have done the CT Scan by now had I  not forgotten to fast 6 hours before attending hospital today!!  I'm rescheduled for early Jan.

Obviously it's tough waiting, not knowing what will be found but I recieved good advice from my Dr.  He said not to make any drastic changes or panic decisions until the facts have been established because till then......  There are a myriad number of diagnosis other than the big C.   So till then, Its all to play for.   That said,  I do still find it tricky keeping my nerve.  My solution has been to avoid asking Dr Google for answers so as not to wind myself up.  Also being here online has made things a little easier, reaching out to know that there are others in my exact same position.  We're not alone.   

Seeings though we're at a similar point in this process,  perhaps we might stay in touch.

Sorry for delay. I now booked in for both pet scan and biopsy on mon and tues 6th and 7th fun lol. Hope all goes well eith you just all a waiting game as you know ii feel like i better than others with dealling with this. The way i see it i leaving the worry till i got domething to really worry about
