Hi my name is Mandy I am 27 I received a letter saying I have Hpv & abnormal cells I am worried sick can anyone tell me if this is something to worry about ?
hi, does it say anything else like how abnormal the cells are? I wouldn't worry just yet they will either say come back for smear in 6 months or book a colposcopy which is really easy, I'll tell you where I'm at, I had a smear around the 8th of nov 21st of nov I had a hospital letter come through to say borderline abnormal cells, and an appointment for a colposcopy on the 3rd of December but had to change it to the 17th wasn't really concerned as letter had said borderline but when I got there the doctor said cin3 abnormal results, now I'm worried since the smear which They made me bleed, I have had blood/discharge everyday for 7 weeks, I had a biopsy abd currently waiting for result, I have an implant to, abd on the pill, I don't know how likely it is the results come back cancerous but I'm hoping they are cin3 only and will be treated, hope this helps,
Thank you maybe ring your doctors abd find out what happens next mine just came all together, seems process can be different, I hope you get sorted soon and some answers, but try not to worry it's all treatable that's what I tell myself, fingers crossed for you
