This is quite a common talking point on the forum so hopefully you'll hear back from others soon but whilst you wait I just wanted to share some information we have about your results as well as the colposcopy you're due to have.

Hi are you ok? did you hear back. I have the same and waiting to see someone in 2 weeks. My smear in 2017 was clear but latest was HPV positive and high grade moderate. I also have had blleding betwwen periods and intense lower back and pelvic pain. I dont eat or sleep since results and fear the worst given the bleeding and pain. Im terrified.

Hi, I'm ok thank you. How are you? 
Well I went for the colposcopy on the 23rd of December and while there the lady questioned why I had been invited for 1 in the first place as she said my cervix looked very healthy apart from a tiny tiny area. Anyway she did the exam and took a biopsy and said I would get the results in about 3 weeks. 
Got the results through and it said I had precancerous cells and needed to go on the 27th of January for a Lletz procedure. After I had that done the lady said she was pretty certain my next appointment would be in 6 months time for a smear at my gp. About 2 weeks later I received a phone call from the hospital saying I needed to go back in and then I just knew it was bad news  

I was told they found cancer, they were pretty sure that because it was so small they had already removed it along with the precancerous cells but wished to discuss my results with another specialist team as looking at everything else cancer was the last thing they expected to find. More waiting and full of mixed emotions. Am I supposed to be upset, angry, scared that I had cancer, relieved they are sure they've got it all??? 
after the meeting with the other specialists they are more then positive they have got it all but I'm back to see a consultant at the end of the month to discuss a Hysterectomy.

Gosh your story is so similar to mine it’s scary. The only difference is I had High Grade Severe dyskarosis. 

The way they know they got it all is by looking at the each side of the biopsy they take. If there is no cancer on any edge of the biopsy you have clear margins.

I am over one year all clear now so I hope this puts your mind at ease xx

Hi sorry I never replied, covid happened and with working in a hospital I've put things to the back of my mind and kept busy. To be honest it just got harder to talk about.

I've opted to have a hysterectomy and I'm having it at the end of this month. Worried is an understatement but I'm doing it for my children and my sanity.
