Thymoma Test results

Hi everyone x
Feeling very strange! Going for my results tomorrow for my PET scan and lung function tests. My consultant sent me for PET scan last week to see if thymoma was benign or not!! But everything I have read and other people say thymomas are always malignant. I just can’t imagine him saying anything bad it seems so surreal! 
I know the thymoma is pressing on my trachea and my lung function test did show some sort of obstruction but the doctor who did the tests said the consultant would explain more tomorrow.
Just don’t know what to expect! X

    Hi thank you for asking. 
    my scan was clear the consultant said my thymoma is benign. Thankfully x 

    however he thinks I have myasthenia gravis I've had blood tests and waiting to see a neurologist. He said if I have got MG they will remove the thymoma. I'm just still scared as I thought all thymomas should be removed. I don't understand how I'm feeling as I'm so relieved it's not cancer but I'm still scared and can't stop crying x

    I'm glad that you got good news about the thymoma Mimi. 

    It's completely understandable to still be feeling a tad scared/nervous whilst you wait to find out if you have mysathenia gravis but I hope this information I've found about on the NHS website will help to put your mind at ease slightly.
