Waiting for results, especially over the festive period, is really tough but you're not alone as many of our members have been in this position so will know what you're going through at the moment and will hopefully pop by when they can to offer their support and advice.

Thank you for your reply. I hope so too. I rang again yesterday and now they are telling me the consultant is behind with her admin so I don't even know if they've been looked at. I doubt I'll have anything before Christmas now. This is really the worst time. Sending my thoughts to everyone in a similar position and would love to hear others experiences to see how they compare. Many thanks. 

I also had hysteroscopy 3 weeks ago, I was told results by post would take 3 weeks coz pathology really busy, there were insensitive posters in the dept saying this.

I rang consultantants secretary end of last week and she said consultant hadn't received results yet, she told me to try and enjoy xmas and that if I hadn't heard by the 28th, to ring back , as the office is now shut due to xmas !!!

Hi, and thank you for your reply. Sounds like we've had similar experiences! I went into my hysteroscopy not really understanding what the experience would be like. I've never experienced pain like it (had 'local' anaesthetic) especially never having children. Was meant to have a polyp removed but my surgeon couldn't find one and was concerned about the thickness of the lining of my womb. I've never experienced such stress waiting. I've rung the secretary a few times and basically been told they can't give results over the phone and the consultant is behind on her admin.

I doubt I'll be receiving anything before Christmas now although I'm hoping. I feel what you're going through. Please let me know how you get on and thank you for replying. Take care and I'm thinking of you x

I'm 4 weeks today and praying the postman brings news !!!

5 weeks tomorrow for me and no news either. Keeping everything crossed we'll hear something. The wait has been agonising over Christmas. X

I spoke to consultantants secretary today, she said she will print off results and put In consultants tray for him to read when he gets back in office on monday !!!

It's so frustrating isn't it. I've been told that too. Still no letter so rang secretary today. Left yet another message so I'll ring again tomorrow if no letter in the post. I hope you hear something soon xx

Yeh I hope u hear soon too, it's so frustrating, I asked the consultant if she knows the results and she said all she can do is put in consultants tray , it's just so annoying 

We are having very similar experiences. Mine said the same. I even rang my GP surgery to see if my doctor could tell me but was told it has to come from the consultant.

People are telling me it can't be anything to worry about as they would have been in touch by now, but before Christmas my consultant hadn't looked at them. I don't know about you but it's very hard to be positive isn't it. I genuinely think the only thing to do is keep ringing until we get the results. I know they're busy etc but the wait is agony isn't it?
