Hi everyone, I am new here so please bare with me if I start to ramble on! About 5 or 6 weeks ago my husband hit his head on our bedframe, was quite bad as it started bleeding. We thought nothing more of it, then about 3 weeks ago he started to get these chronic headaches, normal paracetamol wasn't doing anything so we went and saw our GP. She sent him for a CT scan under the urgent referal system. He had the scan of his head, then they wanted to take another one as they had seen something that they wanted to take a closer look at. Fast forward almost a week and we went and saw the consultant, he said that there is something on the left frontal lobe that shouldn't be there but they don't know what it is. Today he went for another CT scan to check his Chest, Abdomen and Pelvis, assuming this is to check for any other 'abnormalities'. He is also having a further MRI Scan at the end of the month. Obviously this is a very worrying time for everyone but we've spoke in depth about his symptoms and other than headaches he has none, no seizures, no strange feelings or numbness. He has recently started on some anti depressants which were initally prescribed as he was diagnosed with Post Concussion Syndrome after his very first consultation (prior to first CT scan) some of the side effects of these pills include vision problems and headaches. He has also just been taken off naproxen which he has been on for 4 or 5 years, again side effects of withdrawal can also cause headaches. As a wife of only 6 months and a mother of our 2 year old son I'm obviously reaching out for perhaps advice, common sense, anything really. Anyone with any experience of this at all? Thanks for taking the time to read my post x
