Testicular Cancer worries

Ok this is a long *** story but I’ll try and be brief first discovered a lump in my testicle about February went to the gp who said it was a cyst, fast forward to around June I began to notice breast tissue growth and subsequently developed mastitis while there doctor asked about any other lumps so I showed the one on my testicle and referred me to urology, after which they informed me I needed it removed , due to other health problems and others complication from previous operations there was a back and forth with the different hospitals regarding the operation. Finally had the orchidotomy on Oct 14th , my histology results finally came back two weeks ago , and the MDT meeting took place last week. Received a phone call today saying my follow up is 31st December is this time frame normal?? Cheers

  • Hi Xrayspex85,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. Time frames for these things vary hugely depending on area, hospital, waiting times, and of course each individual person. Your timeframe doesn't sound unreasonable or uncommon.

The uncertainty and waiting for information is often difficult but try not to dwell on it too much if you can - and focus on keeping busy and distracted where possible as some people say this helps.

    Wishing you all the best,
