Benign stomach lesion

I saw my G.P a couple of weeks ago. Problems with swallowing since easter and been getting worse recently. Urgent referral to Endoscopy was made. I had a gastroscopy last Thur and they have found a lesion just inside my stomach near the junction with my oesophagus. Nurse showed me a pic and it looked smooth and mushroom shaped.

She says she does not think it is cancerous but is not 100% sure. Biopsies were taken. Urgent referral made for scan and had PET and CT today.

Just a waiting game now for results. There will be an MD meeting this Friday and I am expecting a call on Monday to discuss the results.

Anyone been in a similar situation and what was done?
