Could this really be Endometrial cancer ?

H, I’m new here and didn’t really know what to write so hear goes.
I’m a young 51 year old, started going threw the menopause in my early 30s and thought it was down to stress. I had just lost my Mum to cancer, my little sister had been diagnosed with aggressive breast cancer at the age of 31 and my father had just had a triple heart bypass. I went to the Doctors and they thought I was too young and just ignored my concerns.
Two years ago I had my ovaries and Fallopian tubes removed due to large irregular cysts, all the biopsy’s came back clear and I felt fantastic.
I am here today because of sudden bleeding after not having any signs of a period for 10+ years and I have terrible low abdominal & pelvis pain and have just started having awful lower back pain. I had a couple of bleeds- fresh red blood followed by stomach ach that got better than after my scan came back even worse. This time I had dark brown bleed every morning for 4 days.
I have had my scan and I can see the results state that the endometrium measured 2.2mm and the cavity was expanded by some fluid/blood measuring 6.7mm.

I was wondering if anyone could advise me on either symptoms or an interpretation of the measurements or fluid.

Huge thanks in advance for taking the time to read my post and again for responding.

  • Hello Foxy68,

I'm really sorry to hear that you've been dealing with these health problems recently. It's understandable that you're feeling concerned at the moment.

I'm afraid that I'm not able to comment on the symptoms or the measurements that you've mentioned. Have you got a follow up appointment with the gynaecologist booked? I hope that you don't have to wait too long.

If you'd like to chat with one of our nurses before your appointment then please do give them a call. They're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday to friday 9am to 5pm.

Do let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
