My husband has a swollen lymph node in his neck. The gp was not concerned initially but ordered an x ray just to be sure (for which we're eternally grateful having seen on this forum how many people get fobbed off!) and then things went from bad to worse but we don't have a diagnosis yet. I believe it'll be good news though.

His bloods were fine and he is generally fit and healthy. The dr told him his blood and x ray results over the phone and said that we can come in for a chat (I wish we hadn't).

So they should be able to tell you or at least give an indication of what's going on. 

Are your lumps tender or painless?

Mine are painless. The doctor was saying that aren't worried because i'm also fit and healthy generally and i'm only 18, but i know i've got a couple of weeks of worrying ahead!

Try not to worry too much, the main thing is you're getting it checked. It's probably nothing serious but it's good you went to see your gp.

I have this exact same thing but I'm 17, I'm perfectly fine apart from a few lymph nodes that are up! I've had my bloods done and I'm fine. My gp isn't worried in the slightest! I'm super prone to cysts and they feel harmless! The few days I was waiting for my bloods were terrifying and very hard considering I'm in a tough year in school and have severe health and generalised anxiety disorders!! Feel so much better now that I know ️ Good on you for going to the doctors early!!
