Sorry you have all this worry. The symptons could be quite a few things and after your colonoscopy you should be told what was found/ or not found straight after the test.

I've had bowel cancer twice in the last 5 years.

My step Dad is having a colonoscopy the day before you, he is 87.

You have age on your side too, I was first diagnosed at 49. It's not impossible at your age but it is a lower percentage.

I had abdominal discomfort.

Hows your iron levels?

I think IBS, diverculitus are among other possible causes of these symptoms but you're having the right test. I was being treated for IBS for 18 months before my cancer was found by the colonoscopy.

I see glad you have beat it twice they said possible ibd chrons but is chrons the symptoms I'm having scared to death for the colonoscopy does it hurt etc ? 

I was dredding it first time. I just thought, well I want an answer and it has to be done.

Varies from one person to the next. Some say no discomfort, others have some.

I have had about 5 now and will continue to have them yearly forever.

I have sedation and gas&air.

Soon be over with. I think they check for crohnes while they are doing it. They take biopsies and pump up your bowel with air, this causes a 'wind' pain.

Not very nice drinking the prep but it has to be done.

Yeah I heard the bowel prep is the worst part about the whole thing ..... With the sedation do you remember the procedure or was you kind of out of it ... I have general anxiety issues and this situation doesn't help at all..

You seem to drift in and out of sleepyness if you know what I mean, you can watch it on the screen if you like. 

I totally understand where you are coming from with the anxiety issues. I am the same.

Definitely don't want to watch it on a screen :)  but thanks for the info anyway fingers crossed it's going to be ok ...
