Don't really know where to start but here goes

After having lots of tests

Mri CT berriam swallow and panandoscopy with biopsy

Biopsy as come back inconclusive saying there is dodgy cells but they unsure if it's cancer or not

So now sending me for pet scan and a meeting with McMillan nurse and consultant who performed the biopsy 

Can't get my head round it and I'm sick with worry

    Hello Wolfy,

    I just wanted to welcome you to our forum. I hope you won't have to wait too long for your PET scan. I can imagine it must be a very stressful time for you while waiting for these important results and having to go through all these tests. 

    I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious. 

    I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you. 

    Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Hi 

    I've just seen my consultant after they had there M T D meeting and he as informed me i now need to have a pet scan and another biopsy 

    The first biopsy as explained came back with suspicious cells ( what are suspicious cells? Does it mean cancer?)

    He did explain that he needed to get a second biopsy from a different part of the growth (would this make a difference ?)

    From me seeing him on Thursday I've already been booked in for my pet scan Tuesday and second biopsy on Thursday i know this is fast but do i need to be worried on how quick they've booked me in (not complaining) really anxious 

    The growth in my throat sitting just behind my voice box is the size of a two pence piece and my swallowing is sometimes difficult can anybody relate to this and give me some words of hope

    Hello any update on your diagnosis? I am almost carbon copy of what you are experiencing. I hope you are doing OK x

    What a journey I'm having

    I had my second biopsy on the 19th Dec and that came back positive 

    I was diagnosed with extranodal malt lymphoma on the 8th January 

    My pet scan also showed up 2 growths in my lung, after speaking to my oncologist he as recommended chemo but first I've got to have a bronchoscopy which is being done a week friday so chemo on hold at the minute 

    Really frustrated as it seems to be never ending.
