Lumps

Four weeks ago I went to GP and saw a nurse due to lump in armpit. She was unconcerned initially but I noticed a change in her face when she felt it. She told me to wait a couple of weeks.

Last night I noticed another lump appear in my neck and it is the same size, consistency etc. It has some movement and is painless. About a garden pea size.

In the last last month I have lost over half a stone. I have gone from almost 10stone to 8stone 12. I rarely exercise and try and eat a lot and can’t gain wait. I have had numerous infections in the same 6m period. I’d had some blood tests but nothing came back regarding the weight loss and infections

Ive got a GP appt tomorrow and I am on the verge of tears thinking that I have lymphoma. I need to tell my manager that I’m missing part of tomorrow and unsure what to say.

  • Hi there,

I'm sorry to hear this is going on for you. We're in the same boat my husband found a lump in his neck and he has more in his chest. We've got the CT scan tomorrow and hopefully it'll give us a better indication of what it might be. The dr did suggest lymphoma so we've been seriously struggling in the last 2 weeks. But don't forget it can be a number of things and this is what we're telling ourselves. We've not got a diagnosis yet so there's still hope. And if it is bad news we'll have to get through it because what other option do we have...?

All the best and good luck for tomorrow
