Hi all, 

Just looking for a bit of reassurance I suppose. (Warning for TMI vagina chat!) 

I have a fairly irregular menstrual cycle in terms od time between periods due to PCOS. However, I'm always bleeding for 6 days, that never changes. 

I got a period in September that has lasted 10 weeks. Some days were heavy enough to cause flooding, most days were lighter than my usual period but still pretty typical. The random flood days cropped up sporadically and without warning. There was an unnerving amount of blood clots - enough and big enough that I could feel them (which is the most uncomfortable feeling I've ever experienced). 

The other day it just stopped, out of the blue... No slow runoff like a normal period, it literally stopped dead between changing as usual before going to bed and waking the next day. I've had a couple days of spotting here and there since. The occasional twinge of back pain and sitting on hard surfaces like plastic chairs gives me intense pain downstairs if I sit a certain way (i.e. Leaning forward a little). 

I've been referred for a CT scan. I've stupidly missed two smears and didn't get the second HPV vaccine as a kid because I had a virus when the second of e doses was being administered. Naturally I am driving myself up the wall. I have never experienced this before in my life and my last period before this was 5 weeks prior, which is actually good for me as I've gone upto 18 months without one before. I'm not on any new/different medication or any contraceptives at all, I don't think it's endometriosis as I don't have the crippling pain and had nothing like that 6 years ago when I had scans etc for PCOS. I definitely ain't pregnant/miscarried and don't have an STD. Blood tests show nothing out of the ordinary except new liver function issues. 

Obviously trying not to be a hypocondriac but I need some answers because I'm driving myself mad here. Has anyone experienced similar symptoms and been diagnosed with cervical cancer? I'd rather prepare myself for the worst than go in completely blind.
