Awaiting biopsy for pancreatic lesion

Hi everyone, just wanted to reach out and see if anyone else has been through what we are going through right now. My husband has an inch sized hypervascular pancreatic lesion and we are waiting for an EUS to be done. It will be 4 weeks since we saw the consultant when he has his EUS done next week. We are also waiting for 24 hour urine and gut hormone bloods back. I'd love to hear from anyone who has gone through this already and their stories as naturally we are terrified and being told very little. Thanks everyone.

  • Hello Heartthaclark,

I just wanted to welcome you to our forum. I hope you won't have to wait too long for your husband's EUS and for the urine and blood results. I can imagine it must be a very stressful time for you while waiting for these important results.

I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious.

I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Best wishes,

  • Just wanted to update this in case it helps anyone else. My husband was diagnosed with a pancreatic neuroendocrine tumour (PNET) and it was surgically removed. It wasn't a cancerous lesion but it was recommended to remove. They took most of his pancreas. He has recovered well although it took quite a while as it was major surgery.
