Painless small armpit lump

Hello, I’m booked in to the breast clinic this Monday coming 2nd December. Just shy of 3 months ago I came across a hard pea sized lump in my left armpit. I initially left it alone and kept a little eye on it, after a month I took myself to the gp, he said it would probably go and not to worry. After another month had passed and the lump was still present so I went back to the gp who then said it needs looking at as he’d expect it to have gone by now if it was a cyst etc...

I don’t think it’s cancer as my lump doesn’t seem to have grown at all and I have no breast lumps either. I did develop a weird black/purple spot on my arm the same arm as the armpit lump which oozed then settled down but it is still present (this was early March) so my guess is it’s connected to that and perhaps due to infection. Im writing today because I’m probably hoping and praying my instincts are right and the breast clinic will show this on Monday. If that’s the case I’ll come back on with the results and it’ll hopefully help other people in a similar situation.
