We know that waiting for test results can be a difficult time. The "not knowing" is something that many members here will have struggled with and when results are delayed for some reason it's understandable that you're feeling more worried. 

Try not to read too much into the phone call. There could be lots of reasons for the delay even down to staff shortages in the lab. We know that it doesn't help you while you're waiting but hopefully you won't have to wait too much longer and when you go for your appointment they will be able to give you a full picture of what has been happening.
