3 months wait and see query

Hi

i posted before been feeling unwell for around 2 months now lumps in neck and one in shoulder. Generally feeling rubbish with aching neck and terrible night sweats.

Had CT scan came back inconclusive

Had ultrasound on neck said lymph nodes looked ok

Doctor said would send for MRI and then discharge if looked ok.

After three weeks of no news I finally spoke with doctors Secretary yesterday who said would send an appointment. 10 minutes later they phoned back and said spoken to doctor and he wants me to wait and go for another ultrasound in 3 months.

Im so fedup of feeling rubbish now and really have no clue what's going on. Has anyone else been in this boat? I'm thinking of going back to my GP as don't want to feel like I currently do over Christmas.

    Hello Penny123,

    Poor you  I can imagine it must be a very stressful time for you having to wait three months for this ultrasound. If you are worried, do go back to your GP or it might be worth asking for a second opinion. You can find out more about this on this page. 

    I know it is really hard especially if you are having to wait for tests and results but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious. 

    I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.
