So from this post a lot has happened, I ended up having cold coagulation Jan 2020, cin3 confirmed.

Smear July 2020, severely abnormal cells again. They rushed my appointment through which worried me no end. At my colposcopy appointment the nurse said it was glandular and spread. Put so much fear in me. 

Had cervical and vaginal wall biopsies.

Just cin3 in cervix, they took my case to MDT which took longer for me to have treatment and following review of my results aince Nov 2019 lletz was arranged, had that Oct 2020.

During that appointment the colposcopist said I shouldn't have been told it was glandular as there was no indication of that!

There was only 2 staff members out of the 6 I have seen over my appointments who were kind and patient with me. Despite me voicing my worries they kept giving alternative answers and didn't seem to want to listen.

Anyway so, I did have lletz, they removed quite a large area from my cervix. 

This confirmed cin1, cin2,and cin3 in that biopsy. 

Then it's the long 6 months wait, had smear in April 2021, May 1st ALL CLEAR! Such a relief they finally got it all. 

So I am now back to routine smears (every 3 years where I live) 

I think the waiting is such a difficult time and our minds go into overdrive.

Trust your instinct and your body you know it best, write down any questions you may have and keep that with you for your appointment to help you.

Try keep busy and don't google. If you do google then stick to trusted sites ie this one, nhs pages etc.

thank you for replying and huge congrats on your all clear ️ That must have felt like such a relief after a long and scary journey. 
 

that's awful that someone told you the glandular thing and left you to make sense of that information. Something I found with all of this is that there's a lack of patience, compassion and understanding of how scary this all is for us.

I was crying during my LLETZ from anxiety as they told me right before they were looking for cancer. The dr stopped and said "look, you don't have to have this done but would you rather have cancer sitting there?" Which made me panic more as I thought I was there to have abnormal cells removed and nobody was answering my questions. 

seems like from a lot of the threads including yours I've seen on here, they need to have a think about providing more compassionate care. 

thank you so much for the advice, I'm going to try speak up louder for myself. I'm not going to look at Google any more either, I'm getting myself in a state with it all. 
 

it has reassured me that you ended up with the all clear after all that you went through anc just hoping that I will be the same.
