Hi all.
I had an internal ultrasound last week. It was very uncomfortable and seemed to last ages. The doctor called me 2 days later to say they had found some abnormalities in my cervix but they weren't sure if it was polyps or something else, possibly cancer. I have now been referred for an urgent 2 week appointment at the hospital. I have been bleeding after sex and have experienced cramps for last few months. I had an early menopause at 43. I am now 46.
Since my appointment, I have been getting more pain both in my abdomen and lower- I wonder if this is just worry,??
I checked my patient record and it states suspected gynaecological cancer. I am now really worried.
What are the chances of it being cancer? I had a clear smear in march and my blood test for ovarian cancer was clear.
Will my appt just be with a consultant or can I suspect a biopsy?
I would be grateful for any insight.
Thank you
