Anxious

Hello,

Over the last few months I've had some spotting between periods, clotting and very heavy periods, also extreme tiredness. Around a month ago I started getting pains on my lower left side around ovary. And heaviness the pain is so intense the doctor has signed me off work. I went to gp just over a week ago, she said I was to go straight to a&e as I had blood in urine, high pulse rate and high blood pressure, she could also feel a lump where the pain was. Originally she thought i had a cyst rupturing.

I took myself to a&e had blood test, checked urine sent home with painkillers but told everything normal.

Back to drs on Monday who said my inflammatory markers are up and again blood in urine. Still feels the lump and urgent 2 week referral for ultrasound. Also antibiotics for infection incase (antibiotics haven't worked)

I had ultrasound yesterday 3 days after being referred, the lady spent a lot of time measuring something and had a look of concern whilst looking. Said my lining of the uterus is thick 15mm and I need to come back in 5 weeks and I will get results from ultrasound from gp on monday.

After googling what's been said and symptoms I've got myself into such a state and constantly waiting for phone to ring with bad news.

  • Hello Kadee,

I just wanted to welcome you to our forum. Poor you - you have been through a lot in the last few months. It won't be long now before you get your ultrasound results. I can imagine it must be a very stressful time for you while waiting for definite answers.

I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious.

I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine.

    Best wishes,
