Breast Clinic Appointment

Hi,

Ive just got back from a gp appointment, he examined me etc as i've been having bad shoulder blade pain, pain in breast and armpit and swollen lymph node.

Im so scared, i am only 17 so the risks are low but i'm still very worried about it being something serious.

He has referred me to the Breast Clinic for tests, is that a bad sign? can anyone reassure me?

Hi aimeerose,
I can understand you must feel so scared. But with those sypmtoms it is best to be sure.
I had my breast care appoinment yesterday.
I had a core needle biopsy. Apparantly I had 10 cysts in my left breast but a munch bigger lump that was hard.
They should let you know on the day if they suspect something serious.
Try and keep busy.

Well, the gp said he couldn't feel any lumps in my breast and that it's not likely it's anything bad because of my age. he referred me just to be safe i think, but i'm still worrying about it though.

Your GP will just want to make sure there's nothing to worry about. They are doing the right thing refering you to the breast clinic as only they have the technology and specialism to shed some light on your symptoms. You are very young and the odds of it being benign are in your favour. Try not to worry too much x
