Hi, I had a smear 2weeks ago. It was the 1st one back with my gp. I had been attending the colposcopy clinic before that. The nurse told me to see my gp. So I did. She said she "didn't like the look of the red spot" on my cervix. I've also had pelvic pain & occasionally bleed after sex. The gp referred me back to the hospital. I didn't think too much of it to be honest. The hospital rang yesterday (days after I saw the gp) & said my gp was very worried about my cervix & would I come in on Monday. The thing that struck me was she sounded worried, there was an urgency in her voice. I was calmer than she sounded! Anyway I can't go in til Mon week which she was not happy about..
So should I be worried? I've shown positive for HPV in the past but last test was negative. I had a small area cortised also, im my mind that's the red lump..
I'm 43, mam had a hysterctomy at 44 due to fibroids. I also have fibromyalgia so have a weakened immune system.. Anybody have similar experience?
Thanks
