Hi I recently had my smear test my hpv is negative but it says transformation area cells present repeat smear in three years. Can anybody explain my smear results please?
You can find information about cervical screening results on our website here. If the letter has advised that your next smear is due in 3 years then this would indicate that they didn't detect a problem and to continue with the normal schedule of tests. However if you have any concerns about the information in the letter then do get in touch with your GP or your cervical screening service.
