Hi I have been told I have had high platelets for a few years - I had the JAK2 blood test done it was negative - I am being referred to heamotology why would this be ? I am always tired, poor sleep and am 54 years old
I can see from your previous post that it's a new GP who picked up on your raised platelets and ordered some tests. I would imagine that you've been referred to see a Haematology specialist so that further investigations can be carried out if necessary. I'm sorry that we're not able to be more helpful in answering your question but I hope that the appointment brings you some information and reassurance.
