LETZ

I had an abnormal smear test result, then had colposcopy, cervix looked healthy but due to historical issues of cin3 & cgin3 the consultant decided to do biopsy's from different points during colposcopy, they come back saying cin2-3, do had LETZ & top hat done two weeks ago under general anaesthetic, surgeon said he removed a lot, had phone call yesterday from gynocoligy and the gynocologist said that they need to see me next week as there was no clear cells from my LETZ & top hat procedure & they need to discuss with with treatment & theyl probably want me to have an mri, he also gave me phone numbers and emails of two of his colleagues for me to contact as he said I'm bound to be wortied with something like this and they have been made aware if my case-that's all I know and Iv made an appointment for next Friday afternoon as hubby finishes work at 1pm fridays and can go with me, gynaecologist suggested that I might want to make an earlier appointment and theyl see me, anyone else had this with positive outcomes?

  • Hi MichDM,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I hope you're getting on OK with everything that's going on at the moment. It sounds like the medical team are doing a good job of keeping you informed and ensuring you don't have too long to wait.

If anyone here has any similar experience then hopefully they'll be along here soon. Otherwise, I hope this week goes OK and do use this forum as much as you'd like for any support or to write any thoughts down.

    Wishing you all the best,
