i think i have ovarian cancer?

im really worried that i may have ovarian cancer and was just wondering about other peoples symptoms/diagnosis. for the last month+ i have had just a dull belly ache, especially down at the bottom, some times there is also a tiny almost non existent stabbing pain mainly left side but sometimes both. i have then over the last 2/3 weeks i have a need to pee alllll of the time and usually im constipated all of the time but recently i have been opening my bowels 2/3 times a day just watery stool. along with this my belly has been consistently bloated for again 2 to 3 weeks and i really hoped i was pregnant however this has been proven i 100 percent am not as confirmed by a DR today when ive finally gone to check whats really goint on with me . check of my urine has also shown i dont have a UTI or anything else of that nature. requested to be referred for an ultrasound or just anything to check and was told nothing could be done to help me. i am only 22 and with 8 out 10 cases being in people over 50 so i could of potentially understood the reason for fobbing me off due to my age however my body isnt like anyones my own age so i think had the dr actually given a damn would of looked through my notes and realised that.. what i mean by my statement is that i have a rectal prolapse wbich was considered a 'full rectal prolapse ' when i eventually went to the drs aged 17ish and even after the OP in 2017 the prolapse has already resurfaced. alongsids this i have also already had a polyp removed from my colon, this was discovered during a colonoscopy ahead of my recto-pexy surgery.  luckily the polyp was benign however both of these things are conditions of which happen in people over 50 so that would surely make the DR think to atleast give me a blood test to rule the possibility of ovarian cancer out?? especially because they (DRs) fobbed me off regarding the prolapse because im "way too young to have a prolapse" and it was apparently piles when im sure anyone would know tbe difference between piles and youe literal intestines coming out your ***. helpful comments or experiences would be very appreciativee. i have informed the dr as i was leaving today that i will be going for a second opinion and that im going to request my bloods to be taken as a matter of precaution at the least.

  • Hi Meganld,

I too had a full thickness prolapse as well as internal and external stage 4 piles in my early twenties. I too had a rectopexy and afterwards suffered from severe constipation followed by dumping, apparently the classic description of obstructed defaecation. All the associated pain and discomfort too.

Turned out, when my myeloma cancer was being diagnosed, a rather large pelvic mass was also found. Most probably down to a bit of the Avalon sponge they used in the rectopexy. If your rectopexy has broken down, it may well be worth getting a scan to see if there's been a similar situation with you. Avalon sponges are designed to have a 'foreign-body' response and are responsible for a lot of female gynae problems.

I wonder if you've ever been investigated for erhlers danlos syndrome or had any symptoms such as hypermobility of the joints. It's a hereditary, connective tissue condition and one of my sons has been diagnosed with it, though I've never been investigated. My son must have inherited it from somewhere though and some of the symptoms relate to me. One of my consultants figured it might have played a part in my having a prolapse so young.

My pelvic mass is inoperable but benign, basically just necrotic tissue now. There seems to be a fistula from it to the rectum. None of this is a problem for me any longer as I've got a permanent colostomy due to sepsis and removal of my sigmoid colon.

Hope this has been of some help

    Best Regards
