I just wanted to say welcome to the forum, sorry that you find yourself here.  Unfortunately I can't comment on whether the itchiness has anything to do with the lump you've found, I would mention it when you have your appointment at the breast clinic. 
If you are in England you should get an appointment within the next two weeks, if you think of any questions write them down and take them with you, I would also suggest taking someone with you for support as well.

Thank you for your reply, it's good to get some of my worry out as I don't want to put it on my family. One minute I'm thinking the worst then the next I'm doubting that I can even feel a lump. The doctor said the lump is about 1-2cm big but that means nothing to me. I keep googling things and that's not helping as I feel like I'm going round and round. Hopefully get my appointment with breast clinic soon. X
