Hi everybody,  

New to this website. I’m feeling very frightened and my head is going a bit mad from googling all day long. I had my smear today. I get them every 3 years and nothing showed up on previous ones. However today I bled a lot getting my smear done. The nurse said it was quite unusual and that she would more than likely have to refer me for a colposcopy.  She said she would wait for results first but she was marking it as “urgent”. She also said that my cervix was quite hard.  I’m beside myself with worry. Has anyone else bled a lot during their smear. Nurse said it was unusual. I’ve always bled a bit but not this much.
