Hi all I am 38 and have been on Hrt for 5 years since a total hysterectomy. A few months ago my right nipple began to invert every now and then, I had a lot going on so kind of put it to the back of my mind. However about 6 weeks back I noticed that the side of my breast seemed thicker and started to get a yellow colour discharge from nipple,I don't have any breast pain. I visited my gp  who examined me and agreed my breast didn't feel right, She also found a lump under my right armpit. I have an appointment at the breast clinic on Tuesday. There is a history of breast cancer in my family so I'm obviously quite worried and begining to grow anxious about what to expect on Tuesday. Will I get my results on the day? Or is it a long wait?     Hi Fefi you sound exactly like me apart from the HRT and nipple discharge, I have my appointment tomorrow morning, I can let you know what happens if that's any help.  I know different areas , have different ways of doing things tho.  Try and not stress too much xx

    Hi!

    i think on a whole it depends which area you are in. Mine thankfully was a one stop clinic. I saw the consultant, he had a feel and sent me round for an ultrasound. Ultrasound weren’t happy and sent me for a mammogram then back in the afternoon for a biopsy. Then I had a weeks wait for the results.

    i can assure you whoever you see tomorrow will know what they can feel and you’ll have a rough estimate of what to expect.

    i hope your appointment is similar to mine as the waiting is awful!Xxx
