Hi everyone!
Hope you're all having a splendid weekend, I'm new round these parts but I'm looking for information online that I'm never going to find - some reassurance that I may NOT have ovarian cancer.
Im 32, have been experiencing vague ovarian pain for over a year but had an ultrasound in January that was completely clear. The cyclical pain subsided but then returned again quite vaguely and seemed only during ovulation and the later stages of my cycle so returned to the GP a few weeks ago.
Fast forward to yesterday - had a routine repeat ultrasound (TA and TV) to make sure everything was still alright and a few hours later received a call from the GP to state they'd found a 'small solid mass' on my left ovary. The sonographer apparently hasn't stated at all what they suspect, just recommended urgent referral to gynae, which is taking place Monday. So that's swift! I'm also having a CA -125 prior to that in the morning.
What I'd really like to know is, could it be something other than a malignant tumour, or is it fairly indicative that it will be? I have no other OC symptoms, just this coming and going pain and all my other routine bloods have been returned normal.
Anyone else had something similar? I don't think I've got any tears left after today - I just want to know I'm in with a shout of seeing my 4 year old grow up.
Hannah.
