Been waiting 6 weeks for biopsy result?

I had a Core needle biopsy 6 weeks ago and my results have been passed back and forth to GP & Sarcoma unit . No one is telling me what the results are and only that it has been referred back to another department for another opinion .

I was told 3 weeks ago that 2nd opinion report had been sent but the gp hasn’t received it .

driving me nuts now and just want to know

    I just wanted to welcome you to our forum. I hope you won't have to wait too long for your biopsy results. I can imagine it must be a very stressful time for you while waiting for these important results and feeling left in the dark as these results have been passed back and forth to the GP and Sarcoma Unit. 

    I can imagine this is driving you mad 6 weeks is a long time to wait. Keep chasing and ringing the relevant department as well as your GP. The best thing to do as well while waiting is to avoid thinking too much about this keeping busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious. 

    I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you. 

    Keeping everything crossed for you that you finally get the answers you need and that everything turns out fine.

    Well I had my results after they went to 3 different departments due to the number of abnormalities shown in my scan . They have come back as Benign breast disease and I  have an appointment to have the mass removed on Friday so fingers crossed once they test it after removal that will be the end of the stress and pain I am grateful for the advice and am glad that I rang every week to check as I'm still waiting for my letter confirming the results .
