lookokg for some friendly reassurance please as Dr Google has sent me into overdrive!

i have had ongoing issues with my mouth for a number of months now (bleeding gums, spot on the roof of my mouth etc) and have now found a lump in my neck the size of a pea on the right hand side. I have seen my dentist who gave me antibiotics for the bleeding gums which have helped but the spot on the roof of my mouth always returns! 

Been to the Drs today who says the lump feels like a swollen lymph node and has asked for bloods to be done and to go back and see him in 3 weeks.

it seems such a long time and I'm absolutely terrified that it's something sinister and that mouth cancer has spread to the lymph nodes in my neck
