So ive got a CT Scan appointment in the next few days, to make sure that my testicle removal, that had very small traces of cancer has not progressed to any other areas of the body.
So i am asking about the CT scan, is it as scary as i think.
I had a CT colonoscopy the other day which is the same as a CT but they also put air into your bowel. Let me reassure you if is absolutely fine!!!
It's not painful they make your comfortable and they will inject dye most likely into you to make it easier to see your blood but overall that just makes you feel warm.
Then you go into the scanner and the machine will tell you what do to and the nurse will keep coming over to check your ok in-between scans!
I’m a woman so don’t have the same “bits” but a CT scan is a complete doddle and not scary at all. I’m a bit claustrophobic so don’t like mri scans for that reason, but have had several ct scans with no issues at all. It really is very straightforward, so pleased don’t be scared! xx
