Hi,
My wife (56 years old) 2 week ago had a bowel screening colonoscopy and a polyp was removed.
She was rung today with the results and told “ something of interest “ had been found and an appointment made for her to have a second colonoscopy in 6 weeks time. She thought they said something about looking “ further up the bowel”
She is an eternal optimist and says that if it was serious they wouldn’t wait 6 weeks before a follow up.
I am an eternal pessimist and am worried sick.
I cannot find online any reason why a second colonoscopy would be required so soon after the first.
My wife is a private person and says she has had no symptoms of concern though I did notice a prolonged spell of diohrea in the summer which appears to have past.
Any advice or help would be very much appreciated.
Thank You
