Ive had a few pea sized lymph up in my neck and underarm in the last 2 years, nothing major blood tests no issues. But in september after losing 2 stone 6 lbs in 6 weeks, having a vile metal taste in my mouth and odd smell of cold or smoke in my nose, I got a lump, a large 2 inch by 3 inch lymph swollen on my right side.
Luckily i had an ENT referral alrewady in to get the remainderof my tonsils out, so when I seen the cosultant he said lets put this aside and focus on the lump. He rushed me through for CT Scan and an ultrasound and biopsy. He seemed pretty concerned. This worried me obviously.
My appointmentswere done fast. Im still awaiting biopsy results, however after the biopsy my body just wouldnt clot and i bled so much i had to go to a&e 9 hours later where i was glued up.
The Dr asked me to see a consultant the following day to examine me as the lymph its self was 3 or 4 times bigger after biopsy. The consultant told me my CT scan said abdomen and chest clear, cystic and necrotic lymphs are due to Squamos Cell Carcinoma or infection. And after a camera down my throat the Dr confirmed all my lymhs were necrotic (dead and dying) i had a large very abnormal bit of tonsil in my throat and neumerous lymphs at the base of my tonge and adenoids were all the same.
My bloods this week show zero sign of infection and no raised ESR. My biopsy results will not be till next week and the lymph has changed shape and flattened out. But still similar area size.
Has anyone any idea why my lymphs would die like this. Or any other insights into this.
Im 35 fit and healthy woman, never ever smoked and dont use sunbeds or anything. Im in a bit of a panic in all honesty.
Any help or info would be deeply appreciated.
