Hi tullulah
Sorry to hear this...this is always a stressful time, waiting for biopsy results and having tests. I was diagnosed with stage 2b cervical cancer last September so I’ve been there done that! The team meeting will be an MDT meeting (multi disciplinary team)where different specialists discuss your results and plan treatment. But at the moment you haven’t yet been diagnosed with cancer? Please feel free to ask for advice if you need it, and any questions and I’ll help you if I can. xx
Hi minska ,no not been diagnosed as yet but the gynocologist told me and my partner it definitely looks like a cancerous mass, quite strange to be honest as i haven't felt ill tired and slight spotting between periods it all came about due to a miscarriage and the scan after to see if it was an etopic pregnancy they found a cyst on my oviary and never said much about it but i wanting to know if it had been the cause of miscarriage and my gp said it was doubtful but would do a c125 blood test to check for markers because of the spotting between periods that came back normal so i had a smear which i bleed through gp examined me and said my cervix looked strange and requested an urgent coloscopy and that's what's come of it so far xx
I’m so sorry about your miscarriage, tullulah, that must have been awful for you. The colposcopy will let them have a detailed examination of your cervix to see what’s going on. I’m surprised the gynaecologist said straight out it looked like cancer. In my experience they were cautious until the biopsy results. He just said he could see a “lesion” but couldn’t tell what it was, I’m sure he knew, but saved me from a week of extra worrying! Whatever it is, it can be treated, so just try not to overthink things until you know what you’re dealing with. xx
Thankyou ,minska will see what the new week brings xx
