Hello. I went through an early menapause at 48.I'm 67 now, and from April have had bouts of bleeding, which the Doc at frist was bladder related, so had scans and all was O.K. However, after another bout of bleeding, and and internal examination by the Doc, it was clear that the bleeding was coming from the womb. A recent ultra sound has shown thickening of the lining of the womb. Coupled with the bleeding, I know there is a risk it could be cancer. However, I am waiting to see the gyneacoligist now,and when seeing my Doc on another matter.,she said I would probably get a D&C, so waiting on the letter now.
I have a couple of real worries--------one ,all the way along the Doc said not to worry, but you do, and you never really get an opportunity to discuss those worries. And, I'd really like to know what the possiblilities of it being a cancer are! I would rather know than not know, and as I live on my own, I have nobody really to talk to. I do have sons, but have no wish to worry them at this point in time.Any reassurance or advice greatly appreciated.
Thanks
