Just had another endoscopy as still struggling to eat after finishing treatment 3 months ago. The initials TOF appear on my latest notes. Does anyone know what this means?

Hi Westwalian,
Unfortunately I'm not sure what this means - it would be best to discuss this with your doctor if you can, or to wait for the results to find out more.
Wishing you all the best and I hope things improve for you soon,

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Your query intrigued me because I'd only ever heard of TOF in relation to babies. As an OC patient, I've probably googled and read far more abour it and related conditions than is good for me!
Apparently acquired (rather than congenital) Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula (TOF) is pretty rare in adults ... there's a description at www.bjmp.org/.../tracheo-esophageal-fistula
Time to talk to your doctor and gently remind him or her that using unexpanded acronyms is bad practice as it causes unnecessary confusion and concern!
I hope this helps!
