Urgent referral for throat problems.

I have been referred on an urgent ENT aptt. I have two small lumps at the rear of my throat each side. (Similar to an abscess) the small one leaks green pus when prodded. Pain wise it varies from severe to not so bad.

Each morning for two weeks I have absolutely no voice until later in the day, when things improve a little until the evening. My tonsils were removed 25 years ago.

I can only worry, which I am doing frantically, and guess I could be that one in ten.

Many of our members will understand the worries you're having at the moment having been in similar situations themselves and hopefully some of them will be along soon to offer their support and advice.

    Thank you Steph. I guess there is not much to answer really. My referral has been dated to an exact two week wait. I just cannot live with that uncertainty, and have therefore made a private consultant appointment for tomorrow. Fingers crossed he will be able to settle my mind one way or the other.
