Worried about my results

Hi everyone,

im rather worried.

This is my second year of having a smear and when I was having my test I had a biopsy straight after. After I got dress the person that did my smear saying it had got worse. Since then I have been freaking out.

 

I can't help but worry I'm only 26 and really wanna have children in the future but this has really stressed me out and feel like I can't talk to anyone who understands.

    Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to read about your worries at the moment. It's important to talk to others for support if you can, so if you feel you can't talk to those around you then do use this forum as much as you'd like - it's a safe space to write down any worries or concerns, and everyone here is welcoming and understanding.

    Try not to worry too much until you get your results. I know this is easier said than done. Some people find it helps to keep busy and distracted, and to carry on as normally as possible.

    I hope it's not too much longer to wait until you find out more.

    Hi Tara-leigh17,

    Firstly, well done getting a smear test.

    Secondly, I had an abnormal smear in 1999, and then had the lesion lasered off.  I han't had kids then either and I was 32, so I was also very worried.  I know what you are going through and I hope it works out for you positively.
