Worried about cancer

Hi, I have a doctors appointment on the 8th of November, I know Dr Google isn't ideal but I am not a hypercondriac. I have two hard lumps on the right ride of my neck in the same line which I have had for ages, I booked the appointment really because when I drink alcohol I get seriously bunged up, sneezing and itchy. Just recently my neck has started to ache. I am always tired but I have 3 young Children. I am terrified it's something sinister. Any advice would be great. I have looked online at reactions to alcohol and Hodgekin lymphoma keeps popping up. Has anybody been diagnosed with this who can shed some light ?

  • Hi sorry you’re feeling poorly. Only yesterday I had a chat with a nurse who had same problem. She told me she worried but did nothing then had lump removed she showed me scar. She said all was ok and she didn’t worry then as advice to remove it was the best thing.Hers just under chin on neck and she said quite hard and grew. But it’s quite common. Hope you’re ok and hope this helps you a little. Take care and drink lots of water

  • Thank you, I'm thinking maybe they are totally unrelated and I do just have a lymph gland issue and a possible sensitivity to alcohol. I'm sure 99% of the people on this page are worried about something and it's the waiting that's the worst. It's so hard to get to see anybody at the doctors recently. I just want to know what's going on

  • Whilst i was having treatment for breast cancer i was convinced i had developed bowel cancer aswell as had all the symptoms, till my nurse told me it was EXTREMELY unlikely, gave me most likely reasons and not to worry. Its easy to convince yourself of the worst. Yours could be allergy or thyroid related....try not to worry or overthink and i hope you get it resolved soon.

  • So I just want to update because I've read hundreds of posts that never give an outcome. So I bad bloods taken and then a doctors appointment last Friday. She didn't seem overly concerned nor was she happy, she tried to refer me to ENT but the referral bounced back and she said that can happen if they literally don't have any appointments so I have been referred to the lumps and bumps clinic? I've done some research and have found that this clinic seems more suitable for people who are wanti benign lumps removed? Anybody have any experience of the clinic?
since my appointment I have had more of a feel about and I have a definite hard plea size lump behind my ear, the original lump on my neck, one a bit further up and one  in the bale of my neck, I am still exhausted all the time and for the past week I have been sweating at night, waking up with a wet top but then as soon as I'm awake I feel freezing???
