Complex ovarian cysts

hello,

I have recently had a scan that has shown large, complex ovarian cysts on both my ovaries. One of which is at least 10cm. I have had a CA125 blood test which I am waiting for results on (but mainly too scared to ring up and find out about).

I was referred to urgent gynaecology, had a letter through confirming my appointment next Thursday. But the letter said oncology appointment not gynaecology. Should I be worried that it is more serious than the doctor has let on so far? I'm so anxious, can't stop over thinking everything and have convinced myself it's going to be terrible news! Help!

    I just wanted to welcome you to our forum. I hope you won't have to wait too long for your CA125 results and that your appointment goes well on Thursday. I know it is really hard and I can understand why you felt destabilised by the letter but try not to anticipate what this might all mean. It is normal to be anxious in a situation like this and for your mind to go into overdrive, but if you can try and keep busy and distracted before your appointment. It won't be long now before you find out exactly what is going on and I just wanted to let you know we'll be thinking of you on Thursday and hope that everything turns out to be nothing to worry about.
